Best Restaurants in Saint-Laurent-des-Vignes, France

In religious belief, a saint is a person who is recognized as having an exceptional degree of holiness, likeness, or closeness to God. However, the use of the term saint depends on the context and denomination. In Catholic, Eastern Orthodox, Anglican, Oriental Orthodox, and Lutheran doctrine, all of their faithful deceased in Heaven are considered to be saints, but some are considered worthy of greater honor or emulation. Official ecclesiastical recognition, and consequently a public cult of veneration, is conferred on some denominational saints through the process of canonization in the Catholic Church or glorification in the Eastern Orthodox Church after their approval.. Here are some of the top restaurants in Saint-Laurent-des-Vignes:

2nd visit with family. We chose the Gourmet menu which was excellent decision! The turbot had to be replaced with a lobster dish which was beautiful. All the staff (tattooed or not !) were very friendly and attentive and looking forward to visiting again. Excellent value for money.

The prices at La Tour des Vents can vary depending on the menu and the time of day, but it is generally considered to be a high-end restaurant with prices that reflect the quality of the food, service, and atmosphere.

At their best. Had heard some negative comments about their menus in July. We last visited pre Covid-19 then it was wonderful. So looked at menu for this week yes the 59 and 79€ options are now set with entre/plat only a choice for desserts. We chose the 79€ one, everything about the food the service the welcome the ambience were as good and even better than our last visit. All 4 of us could not find anything to complain about. Although the menu is quite descriptive there is a lot more on the plate. All the dishes plus divine amuse bouches and petit fours were WOW in their own right. Every plate was all eaten, portions were good so you felt more than well fed but not stuffed, a good balanced menu. Yes alternatives are limited two main menu choices , but the full cheese ‘chariot’ with 20+ cheese options was also divine. To finish the service was brilliant discreet and the wine glass was topped up when needed. Will be back soon

Evening meal. We went to this restaurant twice whilst on holiday nearby. Our meals were all excellent. Main course of duck breast was absolutely delicious definitely worth a try likewise the desert Tart Tartin was superb. The staff were very helpful & friendly. We liked the added touch of the chef coming round to each table to see how we enjoyed our meals. We would love to go back if we visit Bergerac again. Thank you very much.

One of the best places to eat in Bergerac in our opinion and we ate in quite a few. Great location and if you get an outside table you will have a wonderful view of Bergerac as this restaurant in located at the end of the bridge that crosses the Dordogne river. The menu is not extensive but there is good selection available. The food is well presented and very delicious backed up by efficient and friendly service. Reasonable priced menu and represent good value for money. Highly recommended and please book in advance as very popular.

Lovely setting but let down by poor service. Arrived at 19.30 and were finally seated by a rather grumpy server who could not find our reservation. Once located our order was taken. We waited - and waited. Others were served and we waited some more. It was impossible to catch the eye of anyone and had to finally ask the manager who apologised and found the order had not been processed! Once sorted the food was good but not exceptional but spoilt by the surliness of the staff. Can only assume we hit a bad day after the reviews above but will not return.

Don’t miss dining here. Le Kristo was a real find for us, after searching around the old town we opted for this. We were not disappointed, it’s run by 2 brothers & their father who have a passion to serve excellent food in a very elegant restaurant. The menu changes on a regular basis, we loved it, don’t miss dining here.

Simply one of the best meals we have had all week. We ate in Bordeaux and several times in St Emilion, but this was something special. The atmosphere is so relaxed, lots of 80’s songs to listen to! The chef should be very proud of what she achieves. We will definitely be back soon. Merci beaucoup!

Rainy September day in Bergerac.. We visited Bergerac on a rainy day in September. Beautiful walk through the historic area before finding somewhere to eat. We walked past L’Authentic at first as was looking for some classic French cookery. After finding many places closed or full booked we returned and I’m glad we did. The lunch menu was simple, but all four in our party ordered something different. The best meal we had in France and very reasonably priced. Will definitely be returning if we can get in! There’s no doubt this place will be packed out if they keep turning out dishes like we had.

This should be a good all round restaurant--quality food, efficient service, nice location--but unfortunately we were sat right by a drain that gave off a most unpleasant odor--which got worse as the meal progressed. There were no other tables available so we could not move .We complained to the owner whose response was "yes I know, I'm talking to the town about it" the fact is that he should never have put us there in the first place. Pity, as it would have been a good experience but for this. So A potentially good rating is reduced to "Poor" on the basis of a ruined meal.

Great evening experience.. We enjoyed an excellent dinner chosen from a menu that included some unusual combinations (e.g. lamb brochette with olive crust) amongst the more usual choices. The service was excellent - friendly and attentive without being intrusive, we were asked whether we wanted a break before our deserts were served, for example. The 3-course menu was €25 with no annoying supplements. (A similar lunch menu is available for €20). The wine selection was good but also included house-wine options at very reasonable prices. The outside seating is in a narrow pedestrian street that was calm and relaxing. Thoroughly recommended.

Incredible! Perfect! Magnifique!. Wonderful dinner at this fabulous restaurant. We were blown away with the quality which was really the best we've tasted in Bergerac. Having been underwhelmed with two different Michelin restaurants in Bergerac we saw this listed on Trip Advisor and decided to give it a try. We were delighted to find the food is just stunning. The menu is not vast but the choices were more than enough for us. Each dish was imaginative and perfectly executed. One starter was three large scallops in a beautiful flavoured mild curry soup and that description does not do it fair justice! It was so delicious I did not want it end. See Photos. Homemade bread which was tasty. One starter was tuna with a timbale of just amazing flavours with shaved dried tuna which moved by itself on the plate to delight us. Fascinating food. Prawn main was incredible! juicy prawns and a wonderful mousse all perfectly cooked with an array of garnishes such as creamed spinach, mung beans, garden vegetables and a cognac sauce. One dish was lamb again delicious and perfectly executed. Desert was a vanilla and banana mouse with banana tuille and tempered chocolate, chocolate mouse garnish and aniseed dressing with caramelised roasted nuts and chocolate sauce. So good! There was a good wine and drinks menu and overall the price was excellent for the quality of food provided. We shall return as soon and as often as possible. The meal was fabulous and memorable and in our opinion worthy of a Michelin listing. The couple who own this restaurant make you feel like a valued customer which isn't that common in Bergerac. Fantastic owners and dedicated to your enjoyment. We loved this place! Highly recommended. Well done and thank you.

Fancying a meal out and fed up with the average steak or duck in the area, we decided to drive the 54km to Bergerac as someone had recommended Jardin de Kashmir. Totally well worth the journey with the most delicious food we’ve eaten in a long time. We went for the couples menu which was €65 and worth every cent! Succulent meat, delicious sauces, beautiful flavors, it was a delight from start to finish. The ambiance of sitting in the square on a sunny afternoon in the shade of the tree added to the whole experience. Thank goodness we have discovered this place after 6 years in France!

Warm welcome and super lunchtime menu.. Delighted to have had lunch here yesterday. Would recommend without hesitation. Lunchtime menu full of choices that were difficult to make! Highlights were the Pea soup with bacon cream, and the wonderful Panna Cotta with salted caramel sauce. Each plate that left the kitchen looked really good. Choice of local wines, not expensive. My fellow diner raved over this place and we will return without doubt, to a warm welcome and good service. Congratulations.
