Stumbled across this restaurant without having read any reviews but it was full and looked very inviting.Did not disappoint and the fish cosados was excellent as was the vegetable soup washed down with an ice cold Pilsen.

Great food. Even better iced tea!. Went there with low expectations in a town full of good food and it surpassed our expectations. But the iced tea was exceptional! And great homemade hot sauce.

There were lots of seats available and no wait for our visit. Telltale sign.. Had the quesadilla’s and shrimp roll. The shrimp roll was cabbage, some carrots, and a half of what may have been a shrimp at some point but definitely not fresh. The quesadilla wasn’t horrible but certainly Toca Bell would have been a huge improvement. I suppose one should only get pizza at a pizza joint? But if it’s on the menu, it’s fair game for a bad review. Sorry.

Excellent food, excellent service, excellent surroundings. My partner and I recently stayed at Olas Verdes (see accompanying review for hotel) for a week and ate often at El Manglar. The breakfasts are outstanding, providing an array of tasty options. The lunches and dinners were also good. We especially enjoyed the shrimp and avocado salad and the fish tacos. The food was always well-prepared and attractively presented. The waitstaff was attentive and eager to please. We've already booked Olas Verde for two weeks in 2024 and El Manglar was a big factor in deciding to return.

Roberto and staff deliver. Year after year, visit after visit. His wine selection is lovely. The focaccia that starts the meal is perfectly light and crispy. Our cheese plate was more than generous and dinners were perfect. I had lobster ravioli and as a Mainer, I know my lobster. It was delicious!! Husband had the Bosciola (possibly spelled wrong) and it was amazing, as always. No desssert as we were full but menu looked good! Well worth the visit!

ICE CREAM. The only ice cream shop in all of Nosara as the rest are closed due to Covid-19. There was a good variety and flavors were good.

Terrible Croissants and Coffee. Just went there today to get some croissants and coffee. Too bad, I took it to go because it wasn’t with coming back and giving it all back. Seriously I never had a worse croissant in my life and probably the worse coffee in Costa Rica so far!

We were in Nosara for nine days and ate there four times. Fantastic pizza, fish, and mixed drinks. Setting that is not available anywhere else. Go there for the incredible sunset and spend a beautiful evening there. We had lunch, cocktails and dinner.

Really Disappointing. The expectations were high, the setting is beautiful but the food and service were very disappointing! The two main courses arrived 10 min apart, my Lobster and Shrimp Tacos were really super bland and when I sent them back we did not even get an apology from our waitress. I understand they were very busy but that is not an excuse. A real shame for such a beautifully located restaurant!

Great food and atmosphere!. So good! Gluten free items aren’t labeled, but the staff was helpful. I had the grilled fish with grilled veggies—it was excellent. Drinks were good too!

Stopped by this place a couple of times, but it was closed. I finally lucked out and caught it open after dinner one night. Some of the best gelato I’ve had and you can get a small size when you just want a little. I highly recommend it!

Ahhhh! Chill out with delicious gelato. Delicious gelato fresh and flavourful A family pleaser. Flavour choices are limited but everything is delicious. Beat the heat and cool off.
