2. Balthasar Restaurant & Grill

Pretty strange location and not an atmosphere that’s very inviting. Noisy, too, especially evening’s when it’s crowded. But other than that, food is great, service is efficient and the prices are acceptable. The entrecote is simply divine.

3. Le Yaca

We’ve dined here often and I think it’s time to praise this exquisite Mediterranean restaurant. Whilst the situation in the town’s industrial area is not exactly inviting, being located on a rooftop makes you quickly forget the neighborhood. The menu is relatively small but what’s on offer is simply divine… for the palate and the eyes. Service is welcoming and attentive and the atmosphere is accommodating. Plus, you won’t be shocked when it’s time to pay.

5. Silver Spoon

We regularly use the take-away of the Silver Spoon and every time it is a real pleasure to taste the excellent plates. The taste and flavours of the food are superb. The service is very nice and quick. To recommend for lunch or dinner

6. Auberge aux Trois Tilleuls

We went to this restaurant for dinner on a scorching hot June evening - the place was brimming, with no seat unoccupied. The white wine we had - Bianca Maria from the Swiss canton of Ticino - needed to open up a while, but after 20 minutes or so it drank nicely. My starter of millefeuille of chevre and confit of tomatoes and courgettes was nice and refreshing. The filet de bar à l'unilatérale was properly cooked but one could debate whether the vegetable ravioli that accompanied it should not have been replaced by an appropriate sauce (for the fish there was none). Service was charming, by students from nearby GVA university.

7. Restaurant & Bistro de L'Ecu Vaudois

6 of us on a warm summers evening. Laurent Perrier house champagne to get into the mood. Cream of asparagus soup was lovely to start with. Others had rocket salad. Ladies had sea bream to share. Delicious. Gents had tagliatelle with duck ragout (excellent), lobster spaghetti (excellent), rack of lamb (good but not great), filet de boeuf (good), followed by a range of desserts. Good wine list with a budget for all tastes. Very friendly and hospital staff. Very enjoyable meal and will for sure go back to gradually make our way through the menu. Thanks for a great evening.

8. Au Coeur De La Cote

We went for midday after a friend recommended trying the Malakoff. Due to COVID restrictions the restaurant has had to make changes to it's normal layout, this is completely understandable. We were sat downstairs next to the garden which albeit down a flight of steps made for a comfortable surrounding. The menu choice was relatively limited but everyhing that we ordered was perfect, including the wine.. The Malakoffs are definitely worth tasting we preferred to have them as a starter and as such only had one each... We know that some people can order as many as four but honestly that requires a lot of courage, this is pure Gruyere and each Malakoff is quite hefty on the digestion. Main course was an excellent Pavé de Boeuf, followed by a delicious meringue desert.. I wouldn't say great value but it defiantly is good value... Don't expect 3 star Michelin service, do expect good food though... Would we good back, yes, definitely...
